CPIA: Polysilicon Production Shrinks for First Time in 12 Yrs – AASTOCKS.com

Polysilicon production shrank YoY for the first time since 2013, and silicon wafer production declined YoY for the first time since 2009, Wang Bohua, Honorary Chairman of the China Photovoltaic Industry Association (CPIA), stated in his report at the 2025 Photovoltaic Industry Annual Conference.

In 10M25, polysilicon production was approximately 1.113 million tons, down 29.6% YoY; and silicon wafer production was approximately 567 GW, down 6.7% YoY, according to data provided by the Association.
