Jackery’s new Solar Gazebo is what your backyard needs – How-To Geek

The annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas just kicked off, and Jackery has all sorts of exciting new tech to share, including a solar-powered gazebo that combines outdoor lounging with energy storage. This isn’t your average canopy, and I can’t wait to put one in my backyard.
Jackery is known for its portable power stations and home backup solutions, and this latest release is an extension of that. Yes, this is a gazebo for homes, a cabin in the woods, or someone living off-grid. It’s packed full of solar panels and other unique features designed to help power your home, elevate your space, and much more.
Imagine relaxing in the backyard with a cold beverage, watching the game on TV, or enjoying the sunset. At the same time, your patio cover powers your home or harnesses the sun to top off power stations. That way, you’ll be fully charged and ready in case of an emergency. That’s the idea here. It’s an inviting yet durable gazebo that’s packed with technology.
Jackery’s new Solar Gazebo has a rather industrial design, but that’s because it’s crafted from 6063 T5 aluminum for durability. There’s a motorized louvered roof that can provide shade when needed, or a closed space that becomes an outdoor hub for relaxation, entertainment, charging golf carts or power tools, and other gear.
During the announcement at CES, here’s what Jackery had to say: “The Jackery Solar Gazebo is an inviting, open-air extension of the home that blends leisure, design and utility in a single, cohesive installation, but also works quietly behind the scenes as a powerful solar generator.”
This gazebo is a powerful solar generator equipped with several industrial-grade solar panels, capable of delivering around 2,000 watts of capacity directly to your home backup system or portable power stations, such as the Jackery HomePower 3600. Jackery says the system can generate up to 10 kWh per day, and what you do with that power is up to you.
There are recessed and water-resistant power sockets, built-in lighting, and two 120V AC outlets for a TV, charging gadgets, and other gear. Pretty neat, right?
Solar that’ll look right at home on your roof.
While we don’t have all the specs, details, or pricing yet, the possibilities are endless. I could use the Jackery Solar Gazebo to help charge my home backup power system, mount a Jackery portable power bank in the corner, and feed it juice to charge power tools, outdoor string lights, outdoor ceiling fans, and even a TV for entertainment.
Interestingly enough, Jackery’s press release even mentions a built-in pull-down projector screen, which will likely be an optional add-on accessory for those looking to use this setup as an entertainment hub more than a home backup power generator.
I spend many evenings relaxing on my patio as the sun sets and the dogs play in the backyard. With something like the Jackery Solar Gazebo, I could take that entire experience to the next level. Not to mention it could double as a power source during an emergency power outage.
Looking at the images provided, this could come in multiple different configurations to fit your wants and needs. Some photos show louvered sides and roofing, which let light in, while others are fully enclosed. Jackery says it’ll come with optional shade accessories for all-day comfort, and more, all backed by a 25-year warranty.
Unfortunately, we don’t have some key details, such as the overall size, price, or release date. I have a feeling it’ll be fairly expensive, and we’ll update our coverage as we learn more.
