Solar farm likely coming to Xerox Webster campus. What we know – Democrat and Chronicle

A solar farm on a brownfield site within the Xerox campus in Webster, including a former landfill, received final site plan approval from the town’s planning board on Jan. 6.
The facility, located north of Caracas Drive, will add 5 megawatts of additional renewable energy capacity online. The project is being developed by Montate Solar, a Buffalo-based company. Dubbed Webster Solar Garden, the project will cover 19 acres of land still owned by Xerox on a 25-year lease with two possible five-year extensions. The property includes an inactive and capped landfill.
