Public hearing on proposed solar panel project in Great Barrington postponed again – The Berkshire Edge

Great Barrington A public hearing held by the town’s Planning Board on a special permit application for a commercial-scale ground-mount solar energy facility at 53 Van Deusenville Road has been postponed for a second time.
Lodestar Energy of West Hartford, Conn., put forward the proposal for the facility.
According to project documents, the property is owned by Jeanne Bachetti of County Road in Great Barrington.
The public hearing was originally scheduled for December 11 but was postponed until January 8.
The agenda for the January 8 Planning Board meeting lists that the company has requested for the pubic hearing to be postponed yet again until Thursday, February 12, at 6 p.m.
Members of both the Selectboard and the Board of Health previously issued objections over the proposed project.
