HILLSDALE — Hillsdale City Council has asked the Hillsdale Board of Public Utilities to review potential long‑term environmental impacts of a proposed solar energy farm in Fayette Township near the city limits.
Ranger Power’s Heartwood Solar II project is a proposed 140‑megawatt facility in Fayette Township. Combined with the first Heartwood Solar project, the two represent more than $300 million in planned investment in Hillsdale County and are expected to generate more than $35 million in tax revenue over their operational lifetime, according to the company.
