NTPC Renewable Energy commissions 300 MW PV project in India – Solarbytes

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), an India-based renewable energy company, has declared commercial operation of part capacity from its Bhadla Solar PV Project in India. NGEL has confirmed that 300 MW out of the overall 500 MW capacity has achieved Commercial Operation status effective January 13, 2026. The 300 MW project is located in Phalodi, Rajasthan and is owned by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NGEL. As per the regulatory disclosure, the project commissioning certificate was granted by SECI and RRECL on January 14, 2026. NGEL has reported that its commercial capacity will rise to 8310.28 MW, with the addition of this capacity. Recently, NTPC Limited has confirmed commercial operation of the final 13 MW phase of the Solapur PV project in Maharashtra.
