LNK Energy, a next-generation integrated clean energy platform, has announced its formal launch with a planned investment of INR 10,000 crore over the next five years. The company will operate across advanced manufacturing, green fuels and renewable energy generation, supporting India’s clean energy transition and long-term energy security.
As its first major initiative, the company will develop a 6 GW solar cell and module manufacturing facility with integrated ingot and wafer production at Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar in Maharashtra. Spread across more than 60 acres, the project will manufacture high-efficiency solar cells and modules using advanced technologies and global quality standards. The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra for setting up the facility.
LNK Energy is co-founded by Paritosh Ladhani, Joint Managing Director of SLMG Beverages; Dr. Kushagra Nandan, Co-Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of REnergy Dynamics (RED) and former Co-Founder and MD of SunSource Energy; and Varun Karad, BioEnergy entrepreneur and Co-Founder and CEO of RED. The founding team brings experience across large-scale manufacturing, renewable energy and institutional capital deployment.
Commenting on the launch, Paritosh Ladhani, Co-Founder of LNK Energy, said, “The company will bring scale, quality and execution discipline to clean energy manufacturing, with a strong commitment to global standards.”
Dr. Kushagra Nandan, Co-Founder, LNK Energy added that LNK Energy has been conceived as a long-term institution aligned with national priorities of energy security, industrial self-reliance and decarbonisation.
Varun Karad highlighted that “The company’s integrated approach across manufacturing, green fuels and renewable power is designed to deliver reliable, scalable and sustainable energy solutions for India’s economy.
The company’s strategy is built around end-to-end participation across the energy value chain, combining future-ready technologies, backward integration and disciplined long-term capital allocation. In addition to solar cells and modules, it plans to expand into manufacturing key adjacent components such as junction boxes, battery platforms and energy storage systems to strengthen India’s domestic clean energy ecosystem.
Beyond manufacturing, LNK Energy aims to enter green fuels, with a strong focus on green hydrogen to support the decarbonisation of hard-to-abate sectors. In parallel, the company will build a renewable power generation portfolio as an Independent Power Producer (IPP) and through hybrid open-access models that integrate solar, storage and other renewable energy sources.
