Jackery SolarVault 3 series: New energy storage system combines AI energy management and flexible PV integration – Basic Tutorials

With the SolarVault 3 series, Jackery is expanding its portfolio with a new generation of modular home storage solutions. The systems have been developed to make more efficient use of photovoltaic systems and increase self-consumption of solar power. With a combination of high PV output, scalable battery capacity and AI-supported energy management, the series is aimed at households with small balcony power plants as well as larger solar systems. At the same time, AC coupling enables easy integration into existing PV systems.
With the Jackery SolarVault 3 series, the manufacturer is launching several variants of an all-in-one home storage system onto the market. The product family includes the SolarVault 3 Pro, SolarVault 3 Pro Max and SolarVault 3 Pro Max AC models, which cover different application scenarios.
The SolarVault 3 Pro, for example, is aimed at households with smaller photovoltaic systems or balcony power plants. With a PV input power of up to 4,000 watts and four independent MPPT trackers, the system can optimize several module groups simultaneously. This means that systems with different orientations – such as east, south and west-facing roofs – can also be operated efficiently.
The basic version starts with a storage capacity of 2.52 kWh, which can be expanded to up to 15.12 kWh via additional battery modules. This allows the system to be flexibly adapted to increasing energy requirements.
The integrated output power of the Pro model is 1,200 watts, but can be limited to 800 watts – for balcony power plants in Germany, for example. The more powerful SolarVault 3 Pro Max model, on the other hand, achieves an output power of up to 2,500 watts and is therefore also suitable for households with higher energy requirements.
Another advantage is the so-called bypass mode. Mains power can be passed directly to connected appliances without burdening the storage system. This means that energy-intensive appliances can also be operated while the storage system remains charged.
In the event of a power failure, the system automatically switches to backup mode, with the switchover taking less than 20 milliseconds according to the manufacturer.
A central component of the SolarVault 3 series is the integrated AI-based energy management system. This continuously analyzes several factors, including solar production, power consumption, battery status and current electricity prices.
On this basis, the system automatically decides when energy should be stored or used. With dynamic electricity tariffs – for example via platforms such as Nordpool, Tibber or Rabot – the storage system can be specifically charged during low-price phases and discharged when tariffs are high. This increases self-consumption of solar power while simultaneously reducing electricity costs.
Another important aspect is AC coupling. This allows existing photovoltaic systems to be retrofitted relatively easily. The electricity from existing microinverters is fed into the storage system via the off-grid port or the household grid. In combination with a smart meter or an IR reader, the system detects excess solar energy and stores it automatically.
The safety and operating features have also been comprehensively designed. The storage units are based on LiFePO₄ battery cells, which are considered to be particularly durable and stable. In addition, the system has more than 100 protective mechanisms, permanent temperature monitoring and an integrated aerosol fire extinguishing system.
Installation has also been deliberately kept simple. The plug-and-play design enables commissioning within a few minutes, without major structural interventions. The Jackery app can be used to monitor energy flows, call up solar forecasts or configure automatic energy-saving modes.
With the Jackery SolarVault 3 series, Jackery is launching a versatile home storage system that is suitable for both small balcony power plants and larger photovoltaic systems. Modular capacity, AI-supported energy management and flexible AC coupling ensure high adaptability in the smart home. The regular sales launch will take place on April 9, 2026, with the recommended retail price for the SolarVault 3 Pro being less than 1,000 euros.
