Chinese manufacturer GoodWe has introduced a new all-in-one energy storage system to the European market, according to a report from pv magazine. The three-phase system integrates an inverter, battery, and energy management into a single unit designed for residential use and scalable for small commercial and industrial applications.
The product launch occurred at an event in Amsterdam. A company representative stated the system is built around a concept emphasizing silent, smart, secure, and simple operation. It is reportedly capable of operating at very low noise levels, a feature validated by extensive laboratory testing. During the launch, the product director received a low-noise performance certification from TUV Rheinland.
The system includes an artificial intelligence-driven energy management system for optimizing energy costs based on dynamic tariffs, which the company claims can reduce electricity bills significantly compared to traditional time-of-use tariffs. The system is available in various power configurations and supports multiple photovoltaic input strings. Battery modules are offered in different capacities and charging rates.
Multiple units can be combined or operated in parallel, supporting mixed battery capacities and integration with existing batteries. The system also supports substantial photovoltaic oversizing. Safety features encompass a multi-layer architecture with protections at the cell and system level, including battery management, thermal monitoring, electrical safeguards, and integrated fire suppression mechanisms.
A company vice president noted in a keynote speech that the product has undergone testing in Australia, a market described as mature for residential solar-plus-storage. He added that the next phase of the energy transition involves integrating generation, storage, and consumption to give customers more control over their energy costs and supply.
