A group of U.S. solar panel manufacturers has petitioned the Commerce Department to impose anti-dumping and countervailing duties on imports from India, Indonesia, and Laos, Reuters reported. The petition, led by the Alliance for American Solar Manufacturing and Trade—which includes First Solar, Qcells, Talon PV, and Mission Solar—aims to protect domestic investments from foreign competition, largely tied to Chinese-backed manufacturers.
