MO Supreme Court rules against Springfield HOA on solar panel law – news-leader.com

A dispute between property owners and their homeowners association in Springfield has been settled by the Missouri Supreme Court. The full panel of Missouri Supreme Court judges unanimously sided with the homeowners, overturning a Greene County Circuit Court ruling regarding whether HOAs can restrict or prohibit the installation of solar panels on homes.
The Granite Springs subdivision south of Lake Springfield dates back to 2003, when the developer created covenants for the lots within the subdivision that included that no antenna, satellite dish or solar panel shall be attached to the exterior of any residence. In 2021, Colleen Eikmeier and William Love purchased a lot and later constructed a home in the subdivision.
