The number of new households installing rooftop solar systems is approaching its lowest level in three years. But it’s not all bad news.
Just a few years ago it seemed Australia’s rooftop solar boom might never end.
For nearly two decades, generous subsidies, plummeting costs and the chance to save on power bills have turbocharged the near-exponential growth of the popular consumer energy technology, which now sits on an estimated four million Australian rooftops.
