A new photovoltaic park for energy communities in western Greece will lower energy costs for nearly 700,000 people, Energy Minister Stavros Papastavrou announced Monday.
Speaking in the area after meeting with western Greece regional governor Nektarios Farmakis, Papastavrou said, “I am happy to announce that a long-standing request of the region of western Greece begins,” adding that the project will “benefit all residents of the region, and particularly farmers.”
Papastavrou also added that the park is already guaranteed European funding.
