Berne, 5 November 2025SPIE, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, is launching a turnkey photovoltaic leasing model. It is specifically designed for companies and public institutions in western Switzerland, aiming to simplify access to solar energy and support the local transition to renewable energy.
The B2B model allows easy entry into solar energy without any upfront investment risk: customers benefit from a fixed monthly lease instalment, VAT spread over the lease term and the option to transfer ownership at the end of the contract. The long-term lease is financed by third-party investors, keeping customer credit lines unaffected.

SPIE MTS manages all administrative and technical tasks, including feasibility studies, licence and subsidy applications with the grid operator, and the full installation of the system. The systems are designed for self-consumption and maximum efficiency and can be seamlessly combined with battery storage, heat pumps and electric vehicle charging stations. Digital connectivity makes real-time monitoring of energy generation and consumption possible, and a supplementary maintenance contract ensures operability during and beyond the lease term.

The new leasing model marks a strategic expansion of our service portfolio in the decentralised energy supply segment, with the aim of making the digital transformation more sustainable for our customers. It also addresses a key challenge: the initial investment,” said Pierre Savoy, CEO of SPIE Switzerland.

SPIE MTS (Multi-Technical Services), a division of SPIE Switzerland, specialises in multi-technical solutions with expertise in four key areas: Smart City and Industry, Smart Building, Building Automation and Photovoltaic Leasing.
