Cosmic PV Power announces the successful commencement of its additional 1600 MW (1.6 GW) solar module production line in January 2026. With this achievement, the company’s total installed production capacity has now reached 3 GW, marking a significant step forward in its growth journey.
The newly added 1.6 GW capacity is based on advanced TOPCon G12R technology, which is currently among the latest and most in-demand technologies across IPP projects globally. This addition positions Cosmic strongly to cater to next-generation high-efficiency module demand from large-scale developers.
With this expansion, Cosmic may now be among the only companies in the industry offering all three major solar module technology platforms under a single roof, including: Mono PERC Glass-to-Backsheet Technology; TOPCon M10R Glass-to-Glass Technology; TOPCon G12R Glass-to-Glass Technology.
This massive capacity expansion is expected to play a crucial role in enabling the company to generate higher revenue in the upcoming financial year. The enhanced production capability will also allow Cosmic to efficiently serve larger Independent Power Producer (IPP) orders while maintaining its strong delivery commitments.
Since its inception, Cosmic PV Power has delivered high-quality solar modules within committed timelines. Whether executing OEM manufacturing assignments or fulfilling IPP project requirements, the company has built a strong reputation for reliability, quality assurance and customer-first execution. Cosmic continues to be widely recognised for its customer-friendly approach and operational excellence, and is considered among the largest OEM/ODM solar manufacturers in India.
Further strengthening its long-term growth roadmap, the company has recently announced the initiation of its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturing facility in Surat, Gujarat. This facility will be located adjacent to the company’s existing 3 GW solar module manufacturing plant, enabling strong operational synergies and supporting the company’s vision of becoming a complete energy solutions provider.
In addition, the company has been in news for allotment of 60 acres of land by the Madhya Pradesh Government in Narmadapuram for the establishment of its upcoming solar cell manufacturing line. Construction activities for this project are expected to commence from March 2026, marking Cosmic’s strategic entry into backward integration within the solar manufacturing value chain.
