RENA Technologies, a manufacturer of wet processing equipment for semiconductor and photovoltaic production, has announced the signing of a contract with Celloraa Energy for the supply of advanced wet chemical processing systems to support a new 1.2 GW TOPCon solar cell manufacturing line in Surat, Gujarat, India.
The partnership was initiated with an informal agreement at the TaiyangNews Solar Technology Conference India 2026 in Delhi early February 2026, culminating in the formal contract signing on February 24, 2026.
Under the agreement, RENA Technologies will supply its latest generation wet processing equipment, including InEtchSide 4+, BatchPolyClean N600, BatchEtch N600, BatchTex N600.
The selected equipment platforms engineered for maximum water efficiency, delivering 50 percent reduction in water consumption and wastewater generation. These water-saving innovations significantly lower Operational Expenditures (OPEX) while supporting sustainable manufacturing practices, such as Zero Liquid Discharge—an increasingly critical factor in gigawatt-scale PV production.
To support Celloraa’s rapid ramp-up plans, RENA Technologies will provide local service and support in India through its long-standing partner, International Marketing Corporation (IMC), Mumbai as well as digital smart service, ensuring fast response times, reliable maintenance minimised downtime and process support. The localised support structure contributes to lower lifecycle costs and operational security.
Brijesh Gondaliya, Director of  Celloraa Energy, stated, “This partnership with RENA Technologies marks a significant milestone in establishing state of the art and first of its kind, 1.2 GW TOPCon manufacturing facility in Surat, Gujarat. RENA’s advanced wet processing solutions, particularly their water-saving and H₂O₂-free technologies, align perfectly with our vision of building a highly efficient and environmentally responsible solar cell production line. We are confident that this collaboration will enable us to deliver high-performance solar cells to both domestic and international markets.”
Sebastian Kress, Deputy CEO and Global Lead PV of RENA Technologies, said, “We are proud to support  Celloraa Energy in building one of India’s most advanced TOPCon manufacturing facilities in Gujarat. This project represents an important milestone for RENA and marks our entry into Gujarat’s dynamic technology hub. We are proud to contribute to the region’s development as a gigawatt-scale PV manufacturing centre for India and look forward to building on this foundation through future growth and collaboration opportunities. Our N600 batch platforms and InEtchSide system combine cutting-edge process performance with industry-leading sustainability standards. Together with our local service presence through IMC, we are committed to ensuring a smooth installation and a successful ramp-up toward production at the end of FY 2026-27.”
For future cooperation RENA and  Celloraa are planning a partnership to jointly advance next-generation solar manufacturing technologies. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is currently in preparation, with signing anticipated in the weeks following Intersolar 2026. The partnership will focus on the improvement and further development of RENAs water-saving technologies, comprehensive process optimisation and the preparation of production lines for next-generation solar cell concepts such as IBC (Interdigitated Back Contact) cells.
