According to pv magazine Brasil, the Bom Jardim photovoltaic complex has initiated test operations for a portion of its facilities. The solar installation, located in Ico, Ceara, started testing four of its ten total plants in the period spanning late 2025 and early 2026.
The overall project possesses an installed capacity of 439 megawatts, distributed across 706 individual generating units. The total estimated investment for the development is 2.13 billion Brazilian reals. Full commercial operation for all units is anticipated by the end of 2027.
Electricity from the site will be transmitted via a dedicated system that includes a substation and an eight-kilometer line connecting to an existing regional substation operated by Companhia Hidro Eletrica do Sao Francisco.
