Morocco’s ONEE and MASEN have signed Power Purchase Agreements for the 305 MW Noor Atlas photovoltaic programme. Construction has been launched simultaneously across six solar PV plants located in Jerada, Errachidia, Figuig, Boulemane, Tata and Tan-Tan provinces.The project covers development, financing, construction, and operation under consortiums of Moroccan and European companies. MASEN established Noor Atlas Energy Company to manage project implementation. Financing includes concessional support from EIB and KfW, alongside local funding from Bank of Africa. The programme is expected to start delivering electricity from July 2027, with completion targeted in Q3 2027.
