SIERRA VISTA — A large tract of Arizona state trust land east of Sierra Vista is scheduled to be auctioned in May for a long-term lease that would allow development of a utility-scale solar energy facility.
According to the Arizona State Land Department, the public auction for Lease No. 03-123513 will take place at 9:30 a.m. on May 8, 2026, at the Cochise County Courthouse in Bisbee. The lease covers approximately 1,061 acres and carries a minimum bid of $6.9 million, which reflects the appraised value of the property.
