Statkraft secures consent for 30 MW solar project in UK – Solarbytes

Norway headquartered Statkraft has secured a planning consent for the 30 MW Alleston Solar Farm in Pembrokeshire, Wales. The project is located between Lamphey and Pembroke near the Pembroke Dock–Carmarthen railway line. The application was submitted on December 2024 to Planning and Environment Decisions Wales. The approval was granted by Planning Inspectors appointed by Welsh Government Ministers. The project is expected to generate electricity equivalent to powering up to 14,000 homes. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2028 with a planned 40-year operational period. Additional elements include biodiversity measures, 1.4 km hedgerow planting and community funding.
