Trinasolar presents G3 module generation for rooftop and ground-mount – pv Europe

Manufacturer Trinasolar has introduced two new module series. The Vertex S+ G3 and Vertex N G3 cover applications ranging from residential rooftops to ground-mount systems.
The Vertex S+ G3 series is designed for residential and commercial rooftops and comprises three variants. The standard module (NEG9RP.28Z) achieves up to 485 watts at an efficiency of 24.3 percent. Its low-voltage, high-current design enables longer module strings. Trinasolar specifies annual degradation at 0.35 percent.
The full-black variant (NEG9R.25Z) delivers up to 480 watts at 24 percent efficiency. With its all-black appearance, it is designed for residential rooftops. The Shield variant (NED9R.28Z) also reaches up to 485 watts and is engineered for particularly high mechanical strength and hail resistance.
The Vertex N G3 series targets large-scale rooftop and ground-mount installations. The module is based on the G12 210 mm platform and delivers up to 760 watts at 24.5 percent efficiency. The dual-glass module features a bifaciality factor of up to 85 percent. According to the manufacturer, the low-voltage design reduces system costs and the levelised cost of electricity by two to six percentage points. The power warranty is 30 years. (nhp)
