Denmark based European Energy has completed the sale of its remaining stake in the 151 MW Mineo solar PV project in Sicily to Sosteneo. The transaction followed a partnership launched in 2023, when Sosteneo acquired an initial 50% stake. With the divestment completed, Sosteneo assumed full ownership and will lead construction and operations. The project secured a contract for difference under Italy’s FERX scheme in December 2025. The CfD award supported revenue visibility and improved project bankability. European Energy has also secured five additional Italian CfD awards totaling 513 MW. The divestment supports capital rotation into new solar projects across Italy.
