UK based SSE has completed and commissioned the 31 MW Littleton Solar Farm near Evesham, Worcestershire, United Kingdom. The project entered full operation following a two-year construction period that began in December 2023. The solar farm is expected to generate enough electricity to power approximately 10,000 homes annually. Grupotec served as the main contractor for the development and delivery of the project. The site spans 77 acres and includes biodiversity measures such as hedgerow protection and tree planting. Wildflower margins and locally sourced vegetation were also introduced to support pollinators. The project marks SSE’s first operational solar farm asset in the United Kingdom.
