(Alliance News) – Admiralty Italia Srl has sold a photovoltaic plant in the Lazio region to A2A Rinnovabili Spa, a subsidiary of A2A Spa, in a “strategic operation for the revamping and development of renewable energy production,” according to a statement released Tuesday.
The real estate assets, which host an existing and operational photovoltaic plant, have a nominal capacity of approximately 7 MWp, including the relevant infrastructure for connection to the national power grid.
The transaction – as detailed in the company’s press release – covers a total area of over 18 hectares, comprising agricultural land and surfaces designated for energy use, already subject to a surface right in favor of A2A and functional to the plant’s operation and related activities.
The acquisition by A2A is part of an industrial strategy “aimed at the revamping and repowering of the plant, with the goal of increasing its efficiency, production capacity, and overall sustainability, in line with decarbonization targets and the increasingly central role of renewable energy in the national energy mix.”
A2A shares were trading up 0.1% at EUR2.513 per share on Tuesday.
