Aroma Solar, the renewable energy arm of agricultural exporter Aroma Agrotech, has started operations at a 1.2 GW solar module manufacturing facility in India. The Haryana plant is based on TOPCon technology and is producing modules rated between 620W and 635W, with an efficiency of 23.51%. According to the company, the facility uses automated production systems, while robotic automation and AI-based systems are handling manufacturing and quality checks, including cell placement and lamination. The company said this manufacturing approach is intended to standardise production and reduce defects. Aroma Solar has also stated that it is planning further capacity expansion and is evaluating entry into solar cell and wafer manufacturing to increase value chain integration. The Karnal facility is intended to supply modules for utility-scale projects and support domestic manufacturing goals in the renewable energy sector.
