US imposes 123% anti-dumping duty; targets 4 Indian solar cell makers
New Delhi, Apr 27, (APAC Media): The US Department of Commerce has imposed 123.04% preliminary anti-dumping duty on imports of solar cells and panels from India.
The notice lists four Indian manufacturers – Mundra Solar PV, Mundra Solar Energy, Kowa Company and Premier Energy Photovoltaic.
The allegation is that solar cells from these Indian companies are being sold in the US below the fair value.
The Department has estimated weighted average dumping margin at 123.07%.
The final determination will be issued within 75 days after the date of its preliminary determination.
The US Department of Commerce is also similarly probing Laos and Indonesia for the dumping of solar cells and modules.
