Shakti Pumps secures 6,580 off-grid solar pump order in Maharashtra – pv magazine India

Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd has received a Letter of Empanelment from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd for the deployment of 6,580 off-grid solar PV water pumping systems under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana in the state of Maharashtra. The systems will include pumps of 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP capacities.

Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd has received a Letter of Empanelment from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd for the deployment of 6,580 off-grid solar PV water pumping systems under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana in the state of Maharashtra. The systems will include pumps of 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP capacities.
Shakti Pumps’ scope of work includes design, manufacture, supply, transport, installation, testing and commissioning of off‐grid solar PV water pumping systems.
The total value of the work order is around INR 155.24 crore (inclusive of GST).
The project completion period is within 60 days from the issuance of work order
The Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana is a flagship initiative of MSEDCL aimed at solarizing irrigation infrastructure in off-grid regions of Maharashtra, with a focus on supporting small and marginal farmers by providing reliable and sustainable water access.
