NORTH TOWANDA TOWNSHIP — A 10-acre solar farm may be coming to North Towanda Township pending the results of a conditional use hearing slated for May 13. If approved, it will be the first large solar project within the township.
According to a legal notice posted by the North Towanda Board of Supervisors, the location for the potential project is a currently unused, partially wooded field located along Mary Mac Road. The property is owned by David and Lynette Schultz of North Towanda and would be leased to Pacifico Energy Development LLC, which is based out of San Juan Capistrano, Calif.
