SOLYCO Solar, a Germany-based provider of PV systems, has been named as a ‘The smarter E AWARD 2026’ finalist in the Photovoltaics category. The shortlisted SOLon35 is a vertical PV system for green roofs and uses bifacial TOPCon cells with over 80% bifaciality. The system supports low-shading installation and east–west orientations, while remaining stable under wind loads exceeding 120 km/h. SOLon35 avoids roof penetrations through weighted mounting feet at installation-area edges and supports greenfield or retrofit applications. The system offers 20 cm or 35 cm profile distance to the substrate and has a 12kg /m² surface load. Its 160 Wp modules provide 100 Wp/m² roof area and use bifacial dual-glass construction for green roof deployment. SOLon is approved for roof pitches up to 10°, tested under 1,000 Pa pressure load, and rated for 1,500 V system voltage. The system has 99% guaranteed initial output, 89.4% performance after 30 years, and IP68 fully potted junction boxes. The winners will be honored on June 22 at the International Congress Center Messe München
