Poland-based ORLEN Group has announced the completion of the expansion of its Kleczew photovoltaic farm in Poland, increasing installed solar capacity to 250 MW. The project is siad to be the largest photovoltaic installation in ORLEN’s renewable portfolio and among the largest in Central and Eastern Europe. The Kleczew Solar & Wind project combines 250 MW of photovoltaics with 19.2 MW of wind capacity on reclaimed lignite mining land in Greater Poland. The facility is expected to generate enough electricity annually to supply up to 100,000 households.The site has connection conditions that could allow future expansion to around 334 MW.
