Maltese operator Melita has announced that its new 3.5 MWp solar farm is now fully operational and connected to Malta’s national electricity grid. Built in a former quarry in Mqabba, this solar farm covers an area of 24,000 square meters and contains 5,000 photovoltaic panels. Melita says this solar farm will generate renewable energy to meet more than 40 percent of its electricity needs.
