Saatvik Green Energy Secures ₹171.45 Crore Solar Module Supply Order for Utility-Scale Project – TimesTech

Saatvik Green Energy Limited, announced that it has received and accepted an order aggregating to ₹₹171.45 crore for a domestic independent power producer.
The modules being supplied are TOPCon Bifacial Glass-Glass Solar PV Modules, a latest-generation solar technology that generates power from both sides of the panel, not just the front, significantly increasing energy output compared to conventional modules. Built with glass on both faces instead of the traditional plastic backsheet, these modules are also more durable and better suited to the demanding conditions of large open-ground solar farms, where long-term performance and weather resilience are critical.
Commenting on the development, Mr. Prashant Mathur, CEO, Saatvik Green Energy Limited, said, “This order is a strong reflection of the trust that leading project developers place in Saatvik’s manufacturing capabilities and product quality. Being selected to supply modules for a domestic independent power producer of this magnitude at one of India’s most important solar sites is a meaningful endorsement of what we have built. We remain committed to delivering on time and to the highest standards, as India accelerates towards its 500 GW clean energy target.”
This order adds meaningfully to Saatvik’s growing order book and consolidates its position as a preferred domestic supplier in the utility-scale solar segment. It also reflects a broader and accelerating industry trend, leading project developers and EPC players are increasingly choosing high-quality, locally manufactured solar modules over imports, driven by reliability, service assurance, and alignment with India’s Make in India policy push. Saatvik, with its expanding manufacturing footprint and investments in next-generation solar technologies, is well-placed to capitalise on this shift.
