CleanPeak Energy, renewable energy company located in Australia, has commissioned the construction of the 38 MW (DC) Wangaratta Solar Farm in North Wangaratta, Victoria. This facility has been in operation since late 2025 and comprises 33 MW of grid-connected solar power production capacity along with renewable energy connections for Alpine MDF. The site spans around 74 hectares and uses more than 70,000 Longi 540 W solar panels mounted on Nextracker tracking systems. It is expected to produce about 75 GWh of clean energy per annum while saving approximately 60,000 tons of CO2 from being emitted into the atmosphere annually. In addition, it also consists of a 5 MW/22 MWh energy storage system that has been integrated with Alpine MDF by means of a 1.5-km high-voltage interconnection. Around 300 sheep graze onsite as part of the project’s agrivoltaic land-use approach.
