Trinasolar, a global provider of smart photovoltaic and energy storage solutions, has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Ecohope Solar, a supplier of photovoltaic and energy storage system solutions with offices in China, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates. The agreement, signed at the SNEC PV Power Expo in Shanghai, covers the distribution of Trinasolar’s latest Vertex modules.
Under the terms of the MoU, Ecohope Solar intends to acquire and distribute 600 megawatts of Trinasolar’s Vertex N G3 and Vertex S+ G3 modules over a three-year period. The collaboration is aimed at supporting residential and commercial solar projects in Southeast Asia, with Thailand identified as a key market, as well as in the Middle East and Africa, with the Gulf Cooperation Council region as a primary focus.
The Vertex G3 modules are powered by Trinasolar’s n-type i-TOPCon Ultra technology, offering a power output of up to 760 watts and an efficiency of up to 24.5 percent, along with strong bifacial performance for commercial, industrial, and utility-scale applications. Their low-voltage design allows for more power per string and greater energy density, which can reduce balance-of-system requirements and lower the levelised cost of electricity. The Vertex S+ G3 modules apply the same technology in a compact, durable dual-glass format intended for residential and commercial rooftops, enabling higher output from limited roof space.
Henry Yuan, founder and chief executive of Ecohope Solar, commented that customers in their markets face pressure to achieve stronger project returns from each installation. He noted that the Vertex G3 portfolio provides access to high-output, reliable module technology that supports better system design and long-term value, and that the cooperation strengthens the company’s ability to serve customers in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa with solutions tailored to real market requirements.
Todd Li, president of Trinasolar for Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa, stated that Ecohope Solar has a strong regional presence in photovoltaic and energy storage, making it a relevant partner as customers move toward more integrated energy solutions. He added that through this MoU, Trinasolar is expanding access to its latest i-TOPCon Ultra module portfolio while laying the groundwork for potential future cooperation across photovoltaic and storage solutions.
The MoU reflects Trinasolar’s capacity to support partners in complex regional markets with global technology, manufacturing, and local service capabilities, helping customers access high-efficiency modules and energy storage solutions as project requirements evolve.
