The construction of a new solar farm is underway in the Village of Carbon Hill. Carbon Hill Mayor Adam Johnson explained to WCSJ how this came about.
He said the solar farm will be around 35 acres.
He said the Carbon Hill Village Board approved a few items for the project.
Johnson said some people were against the project.
Johnson expects the solar farm to be operational by the end of the year.
