Plenitude commission's 220 MW Photovoltaic plant in Salamanca – Solarbytes

Italian headquartered energy firm Plenitude has announced the commencement of operations of its 220 MW Villarino solar power plant in Villarino de los Aires, Salamanca, Spain. The photovoltaic power plant spans around 286 hectares of area and features more than 365,000 bifacial panels. The plant will produce more than 400 GWh of energy per annum. The construction process of the power plant has commenced in October 2024. The construction process has been completed successfully within the scheduled time despite difficult site conditions. The project was developed with Sterling & Wilson and includes measures to protect natural water channels and support compatible agricultural land use.
