Netherlands-headquartered inverter and storage manufacturer Atmoce has introduced a new AC-coupled storage system for industrial and commercial applications.
Called M-ELV BattBank, the new product has a usable energy capacity of 16.08 kWh per unit, scalable up to 112.56 kWh per cluster with seven units.
“A key feature is that each additional module increases the output power by 8 kW, up to a continuous output of 56 kW,” the company said in a statement. “Furthermore, the system is cascadeable and can flexibly scale with the company’s energy needs.”
The storage system uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry, with 314 Ah per battery unit and a maximum DC voltage of 57.6 V. It is rated for up to 10,000 cycles and uses intelligent air cooling. The system’s power conversion module has a rated apparent output of 8 kVA, a maximum output of 10 kVA, and a rated input of 8 kVA.
“Unlike serial systems, each pack has its own inverter. The modules are switched on sequentially, ensuring that each pack always operates at maximum efficiency,” the company emphasised. “Weaker modules therefore do not limit the overall output. The brain of the system is the Atmoce Matrix Control, which dynamically coordinates the interaction of the modules and ensures highly efficient, real-time energy management.”
The company also highlighted that the system has an AC round-trip efficiency of over 90% and an instant discharge of up to 12 kW per pack for 10 seconds. Each battery unit weighs 154 kg, with stack dimensions of 889 mm x 300 mm x 483 mm. The ambient operating temperature range is- 30 C to 55 C.
