CHETEK — Luther Park Bible Camp will officially dedicate its new solar array on Thursday, July 9, at 4 p.m. in a ceremony held in front of the Ministry Center on the camp’s Chetek grounds. The community is invited to attend.
The solar array represents a significant investment in the camp’s commitment to creation care and environmental stewardship. The system will offset a portion of the camp’s energy use, reducing its carbon footprint while supporting the camp’s long-term sustainability.
The dedication will open with a welcome from Board President John Moen, followed by a project overview from Executive Director Eric Klein and recognition of the partners who made the project possible, led by Development Director Heather Day. Camp leadership and supporters will participate in a ceremonial activation of the solar array, with a reception and light refreshments to follow in the Ministry Center.
The solar project was made possible through the leadership of board member John Skoug and Next Energy Solution of Rice Lake, along with the generous support of RENEW Wisconsin’s Solar for Good program and several partner congregations, including Spirit Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, Immanuel Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, Trinity Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, and Peace Lutheran Church in Pigeon Falls.
