The project will be delivered in two phases, each comprising a 200MW solar power plant.
Hartek Power’s Renewables Business Unit has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for a 400MW utility-scale solar project in the Indian state of Rajasthan.
The project will be delivered in two phases, each comprising a 200MW solar power plant, which together will amount to a total installed capacity of 299.2MW-alternating current (MWac)/400MW-direct current.

Hartek Power is set to construct not only solar power plants but also a 220kV solar pooling substation to support the transmission of renewable energy to the grid.
This substation forms a central element of the project’s infrastructure, enabling the integration of power generated by the new plants into the wider electrical network.
Under the agreement, Hartek Power’s responsibilities will cover the full scope of EPC services.
This includes detailed engineering, procurement, installation, construction, testing and commissioning of both the photovoltaic (PV) facilities and the pooling substation.
The company will also manage owner-supplied equipment, grid interconnection and the final commissioning of the solar project.
Hartek Power executive director and CEO Simarpreet Singh said: “We are grateful to our customer for placing their trust in Hartek to deliver this landmark project.
“This order reflects the confidence our customers have in our engineering excellence, strong execution capabilities, and proven track record of delivering complex power and renewable infrastructure projects.
“As India accelerates its clean energy transition, the focus must be on building both renewable capacity and the grid infrastructure needed to integrate it efficiently.”
In January this year, Hartek Power secured an EPC contract for a large-scale renewable energy project in Karnataka, India.
The project at Challakere includes a 280MWac/410MW-peak direct current solar PV installation, as well as an 80MW, 320MW-hour battery energy storage system.
The contract encompasses the design, engineering, procurement and commissioning of the entire project.
In addition, Hartek Power will manage operations and maintenance for a period of one year post-commissioning.
