Chinese solar manufacturer Solax Power has introduced a new residential energy management system for residential roofptop PV systems.
Named XHub, the system is said to leverage AI capabilities on the cloud to analyze dynamic electricity prices, weather conditions, household energy consumption, and grid status.
“Powered by the XSchedule AI engine, it performs second-level intelligent power dispatch to optimize battery charging and discharging, reduce peak electricity consumption, minimize household energy costs, and shorten the payback period of residential PV systems,” the company said in a statement.
The energy management system weighs 600 g and measures 126 mm x 100 mm x 65 mm. Its typical power consumption is 5 W, and it can reach 8 W. Its operating temperatures are listed as -20 C to 60 C, and it can handle relative humidity up to 95%. Its maximum altitude is 3,000 m, and its ingress protection rating is IP20.
“XHub seamlessly integrates five core functional modules into a single device: AdapterBox (Heat Pump Expansion Module), Dongle, Smart Meter, DataHub (Edge Computing Gateway), and AI Algorithms,” the company said.
“It delivers comprehensive capabilities for device communication, data acquisition, heat pump integration, edge computing, and intelligent energy management in one compact solution, significantly simplifying installation and deployment.”
