LONGi has begun mass production of its Alloy Contact Matrix solar cells at its manufacturing base, marking a key step in scaling its next generation solar technology for global markets.
Following nearly ten years of research and development, the company reports major breakthroughs in materials, production processes and equipment integration. Independent testing by the Hamelin Institute for Solar Energy in Germany confirmed a conversion efficiency of 27.6% for the ACM cell, while TÜV Rheinland certified module output at 672 W.
According to production data, the ACM platform improves mass production conversion efficiency by 0.2 to 0.3 percentage points and increases module power by 3 to 5 W. The technology has already completed gigawatt scale pilot production and qualification, demonstrating strong stability and reliability under manufacturing conditions.
LONGi Founder and Chief Technology Officer Li Zhenguo said the company has established a comprehensive intellectual property portfolio covering core materials, process design and equipment integration. He noted that deeper collaboration across the supply chain will be key to maintaining LONGi’s competitive edge.

Since delivering its first order from a trial line in December 2025, the ACM platform has moved quickly from laboratory development to full scale manufacturing. Close coordination between research and production teams has enabled rapid iteration of equipment and validation of processes.
He Jiangtao, Head of LONGi’s Cell Manufacturing Center, said the integration of BC 2.0 and ACM processes represents a significant step in improving cell efficiency and accelerating the company’s technology roadmap.
The company also highlighted the speed of deployment, with its new materials facility moving from project start to mass production in three months. Production ramp up was completed 20 days faster than standard timelines, supporting replication across multiple sites.
Chairman Zhong Baoshen said the ACM production line reflects the highest manufacturing standards in the industry. He added that LONGi will focus on building standardized capabilities to support capacity expansion across multiple locations while maintaining consistent product quality.
With stable operations now established, LONGi plans to continue investing in innovation and closer integration between research and manufacturing, targeting the delivery of high efficiency and reliable solar solutions to support growth in the global energy sector.
