Ukraine updates solar feed-in tariffs – pv magazine Global

Ukraine’s National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities (NEURC) has approved new feed-in tariffs (FiT) for solar installations belonging to households, small businesses and energy cooperatives.
The FiT, known in Ukraine as the green tariff, is a guaranteed state payment available to households and businesses that sell surplus electricity from their renewable energy installations back to the national power grid.
The new tariff for residential solar installations, which must not exceed 30 kW in capacity, is set at UAH 6.13 ($0.14)/kWh, replacing the previous rate of UAH 6.79/kWh.
For small businesses and energy cooperatives with solar installations up to 150 kW in size, the new FiT rate is set at UAH 5.49/kWh, compared to a previous rate of UAH 6.32/kWh.
To be eligible for the green tariff, installations belonging to small businesses and cooperatives must be installed on roofs or building facades. There are no such restrictions for households, where ground-mounted installations are also permitted.
The latest FiT rates entered into force earlier this month and are set to be in effect until Dec. 31, 2029. Owners of previous-commissioned installations will retain their previous rates. A list of formerly approved rates are available on NEURC’s website
Last November, Ukraine amended its loan scheme for households installing hybrid renewable energy systems to a one-time, 30% reimbursement of the principal debt. In March, it announced a series of amendments to legislative acts concerning energy markets, including the prioritization of solar-plus-storage systems in future renewables auctions.
Ukraine deployed around 1.5 GW of solar in 2025, taking cumulative capacity to in excess of 8.5 GW.
