Vikram Solar Limited has signed a Solar Cell Supply Agreement with Evervolt Solar Technology India Private Limited (formerly CETC Renewable Energy Technology India Pvt. Ltd.) for the procurement of 130 MW of Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) compliant Mono-PERC 10BB solar cells.
The agreement was executed on July 8, 2026, and the company disclosed the development to the stock exchanges on July 9 under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
Under the agreement, Evervolt will supply Mono-PERC 10BB solar cells that comply with India’s Domestic Content Requirement norms for use in Vikram Solar’s module manufacturing facilities.
DCR-compliant solar cells are manufactured within India and are mandatory for renewable energy projects implemented under various government programmes that require domestically produced solar components. The procurement is expected to strengthen Vikram Solar’s domestic supply chain while supporting the production of modules for DCR-linked projects.
Mono-PERC (Passivated Emitter Rear Cell) technology combined with a 10-busbar (10BB) design is intended to improve conversion efficiency, reduce electrical losses and enhance overall module performance compared with conventional cell configurations.
The agreement comes as Vikram Solar continues to expand its manufacturing footprint in India. The company has outlined plans to establish 9 GW of solar cell manufacturing capacity by FY2027, followed by an additional 3 GW by FY2028.
Beyond cell production, the company also plans to develop 12 GW of wafer and ingot manufacturing capacity by FY2029-30 as part of its strategy to strengthen backward integration across the solar value chain.
Recently, Vikram Solar commissioned its new manufacturing facility at Gangaikondan in Tamil Nadu. The plant has produced its first solar module – a 615-640 W Hypersol N-Type TOPCon G12R module – marking the start of commercial manufacturing at the facility.
