BYRON — A second proposed large-scale solar energy project in the town of Byron is facing staunch opposition from town and county officials.
Juno Beach, Fla.-based NextEra Energy Resources is in the early stages of seeking approval for the proposed 170-megawatt Brusselville Solar project, which would be located on a portion of 2,067 total acres of farmland it has leased in southern and central Byron. The actual size of the facility isn’t yet known.
