Astronergy focuses on real-world energy yield and long-term reliability with its latest PV modules – Review Energy

Astronergy used Intersolar Europe 2026 not only to showcase its latest photovoltaic technologies, but also to reinforce its product roadmap focused on higher efficiency, reliability and application-specific solutions. During an interview with Review Energy, Jack Zhou, Head of Global Product Technical Management at Astronergy, explained how the company is positioning its new ASTRO N7 Pro and ASTRO N7s 3.0 modules to address the evolving needs of utility-scale, commercial and residential markets.
The executive also discussed the importance of Intersolar as a platform for launching new products, strengthening customer relationships and presenting the company’s long-term technology roadmap.
According to Zhou, customers are increasingly prioritizing real-world energy generation, long-term reliability and ease of installation alongside module efficiency, trends that are shaping Astronergy’s latest product developments.
ASTRO N7 Pro targets utility-scale and C&I applications
One of the main highlights of Astronergy’s participation was the ASTRO N7 Pro, developed with TOPCon 5.0+ technology, rectangular wafers and quarter-cut cell architecture to improve power output, efficiency, reliability and bifacial performance.
“Our ASTRO N7 Pro is designed for utility-scale and commercial & industrial applications,” Zhou explained. “It combines higher module efficiency, improved bifaciality and lower hotspot temperatures, helping customers maximize energy generation under real operating conditions.”
Beyond nominal power, Zhou emphasized that customers increasingly evaluate energy production per watt over the lifetime of the asset rather than focusing solely on module wattage.
ASTRO N7s 3.0 makes its global debut
Alongside the ASTRO N7 Pro, Astronergy officially introduced the ASTRO N7s 3.0, a module specifically designed for residential rooftop installations.
Compared with previous generations, the new module improves appearance, efficiency, power output and handling while remaining lightweight enough to simplify installation.
“The ASTRO N7s 3.0 has been specifically developed for rooftop applications,” Zhou said. “It is easier to transport, easier to install and offers higher efficiency together with a 25-year workmanship warranty.” He added that compatibility with leading European mounting systems was also a key priority in the product’s development.
Reliability becomes a decisive factor
For Astronergy, module performance is no longer measured exclusively by peak output. According to Zhou, customers are becoming more experienced and increasingly demand proven reliability, lower degradation and higher lifetime energy production before making purchasing decisions.
“We’re not simply providing higher power modules,” he said. “We’re delivering products designed to operate reliably for more than 30 years.”
The company therefore places significant emphasis on extensive reliability testing, bifacial performance, hotspot mitigation and long-term quality assurance.
Looking beyond TOPCon 5.0
Looking ahead, Zhou confirmed that TOPCon will remain Astronergy’s core technology platform while the company continues investing in future generations.
He pointed to further efficiency improvements, next-generation TOPCon developments, 20BB technology, enhanced UV resistance and more diversified product offerings as key priorities over the coming years.
“Our objective is to continue improving efficiency, reliability and competitiveness while providing solutions adapted to different customer needs,” Zhou concluded.
