The Rogers County Planning Commission updated the Board of County Commissioners on a proposal to draft an ordinance involving solar panels, battery storage facilities or any emerging like-businesses during a meeting Monday, July 13.
The concerns brought up began with Commissioner Chair Ron Burrows of District 3, who said although solar farms are being built across the country, there are currently no safeguards in place to protect those who own land next to them.
