Xpanner, a United States-based construction automation company, has launched the X1 Panel Lift for utility-scale PV installation. The excavator-based system transports module boxes, picks panels directly, and completes lifting and placement without separate feeder equipment. Its automated workflow covers pickup, lifting, placement, and pre-release, while operators retain control through a remote visual interface. Automated vacuum handling, assisted positioning, and Precision Align Assist are intended to support consistent module placement across repeated installation cycles. The system uses Xpanner’s Mango controller with LIDAR, vision, and GNSS sensors to create a live 3D jobsite model. This sensor-guided process is designed to maintain installation precision across changing field conditions while reducing manual lifting requirements. Xpanner offers X1 through a subscription covering hardware, software, licensing, dashboard access, and on-site field operations support.
