Building a mobile house studio is a massive grind. Living on the road sounds easy until you try running heavy production equipment in the middle of nowhere.
I am hitting week three of my custom camper van conversion. This rig needs to function as a home and a high-power media studio. I spent the whole day running wire, mounting fixtures, and prepping the roof for serious solar power.
The ceiling is finally installed.
I went with raw wood planks across the top to warm up the space. I wired eight custom recessed puck lights directly into the ceiling to give me clean light for late-night editing sessions. Right in the middle sits a fresh MaxxAir ceiling fan to keep airflow moving when temperatures rise.
Out on the driveway, I assembled the roof rack and prepped four heavy-duty solar panels. The goal is off-grid independence. I need enough power to charge camera batteries, run laptops, and keep the lights on without hunting for outlets.
The progress? Incredible.
Everything is locking into place. Seeing the ceiling finished and the solar setup prepped makes this build feel like a real home.
