As part of the partnership, ELITE Solar will provide expertise in photovoltaic technology to support Real Madrid’s renewable energy initiatives.
Real Madrid have expanded their commercial portfolio after naming global photovoltaic manufacturer ELITE Solar as the club’s new official sponsor and official solar panel provider in a partnership that will run until 2029.
The agreement reflects the Spanish club’s continued emphasis on aligning with global brands that support its long-term sustainability ambitions while further strengthening one of the most valuable commercial ecosystems in world sport.
As part of the partnership, ELITE Solar will provide expertise in photovoltaic technology to support Real Madrid’s renewable energy initiatives. The collaboration will also see both organisations launch global campaigns promoting clean energy, technological innovation and sustainable development, alongside fan engagement programmes aimed at connecting with supporters, customers, employees and local communities worldwide.
Emilio Butragueño, Real Madrid’s Director of Institutional Relations, said, “At Real Madrid, we look for partners who share our values and our vision for the future. We are pleased to welcome ELITE Solar to our global network of collaborators.”
Alex Chen, Chief Executive Officer of ELITE Solar, added, “It is an honour to partner with Real Madrid, one of the most respected and successful organisations in the world. This alliance represents much more than a sponsorship; it reflects our shared pursuit of excellence, global impact, and long-term value creation. Together, we hope to inspire people through innovation, performance, and a commitment to a more sustainable future.”
Founded more than 14 years ago, ELITE Solar has grown into one of the photovoltaic industry’s leading manufacturers, operating in more than 30 countries with production facilities in Vietnam, Indonesia and Egypt. The company is recognised as a BloombergNEF Tier 1 PV module manufacturer and is ranked among Wood Mackenzie’s leading global solar producers.
The announcement comes shortly after Real Madrid reported record revenues for the 2025-26 financial year, highlighting the club’s sustained commercial growth. By adding ELITE Solar to its global sponsorship portfolio, the European champions continue to diversify their partner network beyond traditional consumer sectors while capitalising on the growing intersection of elite sport, renewable energy and environmental sustainability.
The partnership also reflects a broader trend across the sports industry, with leading clubs increasingly collaborating with clean-energy companies as brands look to leverage global sporting platforms to advance ESG objectives, promote innovation and engage audiences through purpose-driven partnerships.
