Sol-Ark introduces inverter app to streamline solar-plus-storage commissioning – pv magazine USA

U.S.-based hybrid inverter manufacturer Sol-Ark has launched the MySolArk Installer App, a dedicated mobile platform built to simplify commissioning, project documentation, and fleet management for residential solar-plus-storage systems. 
The mobile-first software guides field technicians through step-by-step setup workflows, covering system topology, network connectivity, hardware validation, battery configuration, grid settings, and final verification. The application is designed to reduce installation time, minimize setup errors, and create standardized project records across multi-site fleets. 
“Installers need software that works as hard as they do,” said Devin Bethel, Software Product Manager at Sol-Ark. “The MySolArk Installer App provides a streamlined, mobile-first experience that simplifies commissioning, strengthens project documentation, and helps installation teams manage more projects with greater confidence.” 
Designed around field technician workflows, the application integrates guided commissioning sequences that cover safety verification, system topology, grid profiles, and overall hardware validation. It features one-touch battery configuration using predefined parameters for Sol-Ark’s ecosystem of UL 9540-certified energy storage system pairings. Installers can also configure utility rate schedules, peak-shaving thresholds, and grid-charging logic to optimize customer bill savings.  
Upon completion, the app automatically generates shareable PDF commissioning reports that document system configurations and site parameters for compliance and record-keeping. A multi-site dashboard allows installation teams to track setup progress, monitor live power flow, inspect event logs, and evaluate equipment health across their entire portfolio. The software interfaces with Sol-Ark Wi-Fi and 4G LTE connectivity dongles while providing direct access to technical documentation and support resources. 
The application is currently available for download on iOS and Android devices. It supports commissioning for Sol-Ark’s residential hybrid inverter lineup, with commercial inverter commissioning compatibility scheduled for a future software update.  
Addressing growing industry focus on software supply chain security and data privacy, Sol-Ark noted that the MySolArk application platform was developed in the United States, with user data hosted locally on U.S.-based Amazon Web Services infrastructure.
